For Housing Justice in Wisconsin

The Tenant Resource Center is a nonprofit, membership organization dedicated to promoting positive relations between rental housing consumers and providers throughout Wisconsin. By providing information and referrals, education about rental rights and responsibilities, and access to conflict resolution, we empower the community to obtain and maintain quality affordable housing.

Need Emergency Rental Assistance in Dane County?

On March 15th, 2023 the City of Madison and Dane County made the following announcement about the Dane CORE 2.0 Program:

On May 31, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. the Dane CORE 2.0 Emergency Rental Assistance application portal will permanently close.

Any applications and additional funding requests that are submitted through that time will remain in the system and will continue to be processed as long as funds remain available. Submission of an application does not guarantee that the application will be approved, though providers will continue to process as many applications as funding allows.

After portal closure, applications will still be processed, and providers will reach out to you with any additional information that is needed.

Who do I contact with questions about my application?

For Dane County residents outside of the City of Madison, contact Urban Triage - 608-299-4128

For City of Madison residents, contact Community Action Coalition - 608-237-1255

For Dane County residents with an Eviction Court date, contact Tenant Resource Center - 608-257-0006 ext 7

I'm facing eviction court, what does this mean for my application with the Tenant Resource Center?

Nothing at all! The Eviction Diversion and Defense Partnership ("EDDP") is a separate program funded by the City of Madison, Dane County, and other funders, so this announcement doesn't impact your application. For more information on the EDDP, visit our EDDP Website!
