Narcan and Over-Ramping Training - Tenant Resource Center

Narcan and Over-Ramping Training

Presenter: Heidi Olson-Streed, Vivent Health

This event will provide the opportunity to learn more about: Narcan and Over-Ramping

Narcan is an opioid antagonist used for the complete or partial reversal of opioid overdose, including respiratory depression. Over-ramping (or ramping effect) is a phenomenon involved in drug addiction whereby the user develops a resistance to a substance, and thus requires increasingly large quantities of that substance to achieve the same effect. This can lead the addict to rapidly increase their dosages, which can lead to a variety of health issues.
