The Tenant Resource Center (TRC) is a nonprofit organization committed to housing justice for all. We help tenants, landlords, and service providers to keep people housed because housing is critical to everyone’s health and well-being.
We are looking for a Bilingual (Spanish) Resource Navigation Associate who wants to use their experience, knowledge, and passion to help make a difference and be a part of this important work. At TRC, you’ll be joining a diverse team of talented, dedicated advocates for housing justice. Our services are all centered on eviction prevention and stable housing, including housing counseling, housing case management, mediation services, eviction diversion, rental assistance, outreach and education, and housing law seminars. TRC also created and manages an eviction defense program in partnership with local housing attorneys. Compensation and Benefits:
$24.50/hour
TRC pays 100% of the monthly premiums for individual and family health, dental, and vision plans. TRC also pays the monthly premium for a long-term disability plan, and offers additional benefits such as a 401(k) plan, short-term disability, and a flexible spending account. TRC offers 18 days a year of paid personal time off (PTO) as well as 11 paid holidays. At TRC, we believe all individuals should be paid fair wages and have access to affordable healthcare. Position Description:
TRC’s Bilingual Resource Navigation Associate plays an important role in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment and navigating resources for community members. The Resource Navigation Associate will briefly meet with visitors to determine which TRC program will best assist them; connect visitors with other organizations that can assist them and provide information or support to contact those organizations; and/or help tenants attend their virtual eviction court hearing.

Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Bilingual Housing Counseling Specialist, you will, in English and Spanish:
• Welcome community members to TRC.
• Provide information and answer questions about rental rights and responsibilities to community
members, and refer them to other staff members for additional assistance.
• Provide referrals to other organizations that may be able to assist the individual, and help
individuals connect with those organizations.
• Maintain a comprehensive directory of services offered by community organizations, along with
their availability and contact information.
• Foster relationships with community organizations to which we refer individuals.
• Set up necessary technology for court-involved tenants to attend virtual eviction court hearings,
and answer questions if tenants are experiencing technical difficulties.
• Participate in regular trainings and meetings to stay informed on landlord tenant law, services
available to tenants, best practices in trauma informed care, and programmatic requirements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of TRC’s programs and services.
• Other duties as assigned which may vary based on grant requirements and staffing changes.

Physical Requirements:
With or without a reasonable accommodation, a Bilingual Housing Counseling Specialist must be able to:
• Work sitting and/or standing for long periods of time primarily in the office.
• Work in an office environment with exposure to fluorescent lighting, potential ink fumes,
continuous sounds, contact with synthetic materials, and air conditioning.
• Use a computer for the entire workday.
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:
TRC employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Under current CDC guidelines, an individual is considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the single-dose vaccine or two weeks after the second dose in a two-dose vaccination.
