Support TRC This Giving Season

We're excited to announce that big things are coming in 2024 here at TRC and you have a chance to be a part of making our work more accessible to more people in Dane County!

In January 2024, we'll be moving to a new office space at Union Corners! We are moving next month to 2510 Winnebago Street where we'll have a much bigger space with so many new opportunities (see below for more details).

Your past support has been invaluable to TRC and we want to recognize all you do to help keep our services free and accessible. If you donate $500 or more before the end of the year, we will add your name to our donor wall in the new space and online. If you become a sustainer, we will send you one of our TRC totes and a bag of TRC Just Coffee (you can also buy the coffee separately!).

We have been working tirelessly this year to be in the community so that we can reach those who are most vulnerable to evictions and housing instability. We are at every eviction court hearing and trial (about 100 every week), we are at community events throughout the County, we respond to 1000 phone calls and talk to 500 visitors to our office every month, and so much more. Moving allows us to expand and target this work even more.

Your support at this point is crucial to sustain and expand our services so we can:

Educate and Empower Tenants - With the larger space, we can expand our initiatives to educate tenants and community partners, ensuring they have a real-life understanding of rental rights and responsibilities.
Strengthen Housing Stability - 40% of the people facing eviction are children. Stable housing nurtures long-term mental and physical health in children and adults. We help families obtain and maintain safe, affordable housing when government-funded programs cannot help.
Uphold Eviction Defense and Prevention - This move brings more opportunities for us to connect with every tenant facing eviction, providing households resources, information, and tools to stay in their housing or find new housing before an eviction. Your support directly fuels this critical effort, especially with evictions on the rise in Dane County.
