$24.50/hour ($25.50/hour for bilingual Spanish employee)
Position Description:
Client Services Specialists are the heart of TRC’s Eviction Defense and Diversion Partnership (EDDP). They serve as the main point of contact for the eviction prevention programs by helping tenants and landlords navigate the various application processes for financial assistance, handle intakes for the Coordinated Entry system, engage in outreach with the community, and assist tenants with short-term housing case management.
Position Type: Part-Time (20 hours/week), with some flexibility in scheduling available between 8:00am - 6:00pm, Monday-Friday; Non-Exempt; Limited Term Employment (LTE).
This is a limited term employment position through October 31, 2026. If funding allows, the position may be eligible for transition to a Regular Full-Time Position or Regular Part-Time Position.
Position Reporting: EDDP Program Manager
Location: In-office at our main Madison location. Potential to work remote 1-2 days per week if eligibility requirements are met.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As an LTE Client Services Specialist, you will:
- Assist tenants and landlords in completing applications for rental assistance.
- Provide logistical support for rental assistance application needs, including documentation, payment processing, and document collection.
- Provide resource navigation services and provide information on rental rights and responsibilities to tenants, landlords, and community service providers.
- Employ a housing-first strategy when working with program participants.
- Record services in the designated databases and systems.
- Ensure compliance with detailed program requirements regarding services provided and documentation collected.
- Complete Coordinated Entry screening assessments with people who are requesting eviction prevention assistance, evaluate whether applicants are eligible for Tenant Resource Center assistance, and refer applicants to other services and resources as applicable.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills, including ability to create, track, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Ability to work effectively and professionally in high stress and crisis situations while maintaining empathy, clear communication, and boundaries.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with technology and database systems, cloud-based systems, and other computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage complicated work functions.
- Experience with taking complicated information and making it more accessible to various and diverse populations, preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish skills, preferred.
- Lived experiences of housing insecurity or court involved processes, particularly eviction, mediation, or the criminal justice system, preferred.

Physical Requirements:
With or without a reasonable accommodation, a LTE Client Services Specialist must be able to:
- Work sitting and/or standing for long periods of time in the office and at other locations in the community.
- Work in an office environment with exposure to fluorescent lighting, potential ink fumes, continuous sounds, contact with synthetic materials, and air conditioning.
- Use a computer for the entire workday.
- Carry up to 20 pounds, including a laptop, outreach materials, and other items.
- Travel to events and other engagements, occasionally outside of Dane County.
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:
TRC employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Under current CDC guidelines, an individual is considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the single-dose vaccine or two weeks after the second dose in a two-dose vaccination.
